UUTEN 2025 & 2026
Learning, connection and shared experience in Mongolia
The UUTEN journeys of 2025 and 2026 brought together Mongolia’s nature, history, nomadic culture and the study of traditional shamanism. Looking back, we are grateful for the time we shared, the knowledge we explored and the relationships that grew along the way.
With Batu — Uuten Altai, learning extended beyond formal lessons. Observation, conversation and guided practice brought the teachings into contact with the land and everyday life. Our focus was on understanding how nature, human life, ancestors and traditional knowledge are connected.
The principle behind these journeys remains the same: first correct knowledge, then correct practice. 99% knowledge, 1% ritual. We do not measure the value of a journey by the number of ceremonies performed or the intensity of an experience. What matters is the understanding we develop and how we carry it into our lives.
UUTEN 2025 and UUTEN 2026 were meaningful steps in this continuing work. They created opportunities to ask questions, reconsider familiar ideas and learn together with patience and respect.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined us and everyone who helped make these journeys possible. Your participation, trust and willingness to learn are an important part of UUTEN. We look forward to building on these shared experiences in 2027.

Two seasons in Mongolia: February and July
We are happy to share that the next UUTEN journeys are planned for February and July 2027. We look forward to welcoming returning participants and those joining us for the first time.
February will offer the opportunity to experience Mongolia in winter, while July will bring a summer setting for our travels and learning. These two seasons will provide different perspectives on the land and the relationship between nature and human life.
Both journeys will follow the purpose at the heart of UUTEN: to connect travel with the foundational knowledge of ancient shamanism with Altai roots. Our aim is to make room for careful observation, meaningful discussion and responsible practice, alongside encounters with Mongolia’s history and living nomadic culture.
You do not need to be a shaman to take an interest in this knowledge. A willingness to learn, respect for nature and an open, responsible attitude are where the journey begins.
